Counter Doors

  1. Operation
    Doors to be manual push-up operation with life handles; chain hoist operated using gear reduction and galvanized handchain; awning crank using gears and removable handle; motor operated.
  2. Mounting
    To be inferior face mounted on a prepared opening; interior mounted between jambs and under lintel in a prepared opening; exterior face mounted on a prepared opening.
  3. Curtains
    To be formed from extruded aluminum “alloy 6063″ flat slats. Height of slats 1 1/4″ with a crown depth of 3/8”. Slats shall be minimum .050″ thickness, (galvanized steel 22 gauge), (stainless steel 22 gauge). Each end of slats to be furnished with endlocks. Bottom bar to be of matching finish.
  4. Counterbalance Shaft
    Shall consist of a barrel and spring assembly to counter balance the weight of the door.
  5. Brackets
    Reinforced steel plates capable of supporting counter balance assembly acting as an end closure and providing mounting for hood.
  6. Guides
    To be interior face mounted on a prepared opening; interior mounted between jambs on steel tubes by Jersey Steel Doors.
  7. Hoods
    Aluminum .40″ thickness (24 gauge galvanized steel), (24 gauge stainless steel) hood supports as needed to prevent excessive sag.
  8. Locking
    Doors equipped with slide bolts inside and life handles.
  9. Finish
    All aluminum with a 204 R1 clear anodized finish. Galvanized steel slats prime painted. Stainless steel with #4 finish. All other exposed ferrous surfaces surfaces to be factory primed.
  10. Erection
    All doors shall be erected by the manufacturer or his authorized representative, having a minimum of five (5) years experience in the installation of similar type doors. Install bracing and supports as necessary to rigidly secure door operating equipment.

Optional Features

  1. Motor Operation
    To be integral assemblies with NEMA rated electrical components, Model, consisting of high torque motor, braking system, self-locking gearing, emergency chain operator with disconnect and electrical safety interlock, internal reversing magnetic controller, push-button station with open-close-stop, internal pre-wiring. Motor may be removed for service without affecting emergency chain operation or limit switch settings.
  2. Primed Finish
    (add) Galvanized slats shall have a baked-on coat of epoxy modified polyester.
  3. Cylinder Locks
    To be provided, engaging at both ends (and at center of opening) concealed within bottom bar, operable one side (both sides) (one side with thumb turn opposite side)
  4. Clear Lexan Panel Inserts
    Can be provided in clear or smoke bronze tinted plastic curtains providing solid closure with full visibility.
  5. Structural Steel Support Tubes
    In standard type weight, with floor seats, to be furnished by grille manufacturer, sized as required, pre-drilled for guides and brackets.
